Orlando, Florida. Purchased the Tempur-Luxebreeze Firm King size about a month ago early January 2022. Added the Ease3.0 Adjustable base in a separate transaction about a week later. Also added 2 Tempur-Cloud Breeze dual cooling pillows in King. Used a coupon Tempur emailed me after the mattress... purchase to get a little off the pillows. My old king mattress was about 15+yrs old. Very soft pillow top spring type. Flipped and reversed a million times and still had 2 Grand canyon type divots from years of compression. It was time to replace. Took girlfriend out to eat Sushi. Walking back to the parking lot after dinner a mattress store was right between us and my car. 25 min to closing time. Feeling good. Game ON. Asked the sales rep what's the latest and greatest? He pointed to the front of the store. First thing you see. Tempur models the whole length of the wall... Wanted the cooling. Orlando is HOT in the summer. Easy decision. Soft or Firm. Difficult decision. You can swap it once after purchase if necessary. So I wanted to get this right the first time to avoid the hassle. Here is the important part of my review if you are wondering which to get. The floor model firm had been out for a while. So had the Soft. if Tempur mattresses break in, these were that. I chose the firm. Fast forward to delivery day. The firm is VERY firm out of the plastic. I will estimate about 10-15% more firm than the floor model which was already night and day firm compared to my old mattress. Tremendous change. I remember the first night I slept on it thinking I just a lot of money on a whim without the Adjustable base and extra pillows and I'm not sure I like this. I read in my documents to take the initial 21 days to adjust to the change as a new owner. So I figured I'd do just that with an open mind and push through. I'm not certain whether I changed the mattress or the mattress changed me. Its prolly little of both. Sort of a symbiosis at this point. After about a month now any thoughts I've had about changing it for the soft version are pretty much gone. My firm is still more firm than the floor model as I've been back to the store on two separate occasions to compare. But I'm now confident that I made the right decision. My first instinctive decision at the store after sushi and sake was the correct one. The last time I went back to the store and tried the soft mattress it felt way to soft. So here are 3 positive, yet unanticipated pleasures with this new purchase... 1. Each night I very much look forward to laying down because I know exactly what I'm going to get. It is extremely consistent. There is an exactness to the sleeping experience on the firm mattress that appeals to my deliberate and logical nature. I feel the same support in my lower back every time I lay flat. It's almost a mathematical experience... Precise. Crisp. Intentional. Yet, relaxing. There is no decision to be made on how best to sleep. There is just sleep. One less thing to worry about in my day. 2. I operate at peak efficiency with 7+ hours of sleep per night. I rarely get that luxury. I've been averaging 5.5 to 6hrs of sleep on work days since I got this mattress. I feel like I've been getting the full 7hrs I want. I feel like I gain about an hour a day of rest I'm not really getting. I am more alert in the AM. If I was selling mattresses for a living, that is my sales pitch for the customer who is willing to pay for time & energy gained. Extra productivity, same or less sleep. 3. Perhaps my favorite part. This bed looks insanely good when made properly. It's easy to make quickly and accurately. Flat. Nice corners. Great edges. Defined lines. Looks like a staged Master Bedroom every morning. Nice to come home to. In the end, got the adjustable base delivered as an after thought. Ease 3.0 Base Model around $1550. I like to read. Serves the purpose. Zero G setting pretty cool. Had it dropped off. Set it up myself on a very sturdy platform bed. It's doable by yourself if you're strong. Just go slow and be deliberate. Its heavy. Don't try to throw it around. Leverage if you need to or get a helper. I think it was worth it to finish the overall experience of the new bed as a system. 2 Tempur-Cloud Breeze Dual Cooling Pillows in King? Yes please. This is a truly cold pillow. You'll see. In Florida this is a winner. That's my experience. Hope it helps those of you that think too much and never get around to doing anything for fear of making the wrong decision. My first impression was the correct one. No compensation for this review.
