Tempur-Lux Adapt "NOW I REMEMBER WHAT REM SLEEP WAS LIKE!"
Not one to write reviews but read several during my research of this mattresses and took them with a grain of salt. We have owned the original Tempur Pedic mattress (the one that came without different softness levels. You just ordered it by which size you wanted and I guess they just cut a slab of ...material). We had that mattress for years and after breaking it in from its rock hard state it became quite comfortable. As the years pasted (at least 15) I began to have problems with my shoulders as I sleep on my side. Finally decided to purchase a new mattress. My wife did not want to replace the one we had even though it was long over due as she said it was fine for her. We both had concerns that we may end up with an expensive mattress that was uncomfortable but my lack of sleep pushed me forward. I was about to purchase one of the existing Tempur mattress when a friend of mine told me wait a few weeks as they were releasing a new line. The Tempur Lux-Adapt. He said "Its a whole new animal". Taking his word i waited the 3-4 more weeks (guessed he should know as he was a manager at one of the local mattress stores) and said he tried them out at some show. When the beds arrived at our local furniture (didnt purchase the bed from my friend, sorry buddy) store they had the Lux-Adapt in firm and medium. Since our old Tempur mattress was firm and that was also what the Mrs liked I purchased that in a king size along with the Ergo-Extend base. Let me tell you the reviews were right. This mattress is prefect. I'll repeat what I read in other reviews that we really cant wait to get into bed. Its that comfortable. The Lux-Adapt in firm has just the right amout of compression. You conform to about 3-4 inches is my best guess and then you dont continue to sink further. I am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds and my wife is small and weighs about 100-105 pounds. The bed is comfortable for both of us. she loves it and I constantly remind her that it was my idea! I am getting great REM sleep again after years of tossing and turning due to shoulder discomfort. Fantastic! The only down side some may find is that it sleeps a little warmer that our original tempur pedic. Probably due to the fact that it comforms better. The only other complaint I have is that I bought a second remote for the Ergo-Extend base only to find out you can only use one programmed remote at a time. This is something that needs to be resolved. A bed at this price point and size you should not have to be crawling to the other side to get the remote out from the bedside caddy. We have two TV remotes on each side of the bed just for this reason. Guess its some liability issue the attorneys told them about. Dont want the Mrs to ask you to get something from under the bed that she dropped only to have her lower it down on you! LOL. Seriously this is a software issue and can surely be fixed. Doing so will make the base more easily usable. Not everyone gets in bed at the same time and dont want to have to hunt for remotes. All and all only minor complaints. Literally loving the bed and the great comfortable sleep we're getting. So glad we made the change and glad I took my friends advice and waited for these new mattresses to arrive. If you are considering a memory foam mattress you have to try out a Tempur Pedic, yes they are costly but they last. Considering how much good night's sleep worth and the length of time we spend in bed annually it can be money well spent.

Worst mattress I've ever owned
I'll start off by saying I am 30 years old, at 6'1 and weigh 188. I tend to sleep in any position: front, side, or back. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease when I was about 24. I was experiencing very bad back problems, and with that, my sleep was suffering, so I began searching for a ne...w mattress. Tempur-Pedic has to be paying their marketing team a great sum. When I was mattress searching about 5-6 years ago, that's all I was seeing across different review sites, sponsored ads on Google, etc. At this point, after a week of doing some research, I'm only seeing good things, and I purchased a queen Luxe Adapt from a local mattress store. So after about $5000 USD, we get the bed delivered, set up, and the whole shebang. I'm extremely excited. I ordered a firm Tempur-Pedic that should support my back and hips, and I might start sleeping again. Boy, was I wrong. The first night, I vividly remember having trouble falling asleep because of how excited I was to hopefully catch up on some sleep. I eventually ended up falling asleep and waking up about an hour and a half later to extreme pain in my lower back. It was about 1 a.m., and I was so tired that all I wanted to do was sleep. Where I was sleeping sank in so much that there was 0 support for my hips andlower back. Keep in mind I bought the firm option. My wife sleeps with me, so I end up sleeping on the couch that night. I wake up and do some more research, along with calling the mattress store. The sales lady tells me my body will take time adjusting to the new mattress and to give it 3-4 weeks for my back to properly adjust to it. So I listened. I kept attempting to sleep on the Tempur-Pedic but kept waking up in extreme pain. I ended up calling again, telling the same sales person the issues, and they recommended the adjustable frame. I bought that because I just want to sleep. It's something to me that's priceless. At this point, I'll do anything to sleep. So we get the adjustable frame set up. I give it another go, and the same problem. Extreme pain in the same spot. At this point, the 60-day return period has expired, and they were not taking anything back. So I just spent around $6000 for a mattress and a frame that is giving me the worst experience of my life. I'm tight with my money, so this was a big defeat to me. I just bit the bullet and tried finding any way to get comfortable in the Tempur-Pedic. I would take my ibuprofen right before bed, have one set up for when I woke up in pain, and had a stretch routine. Time kept passing, but I really didn't want to be out that much money. Years pass, and my back has not improved. I move between the couch and the Tempur-Pedic to get a couple of hours of sleep a night. I was averaging about 2-4 hours a night up until recently. I spent about $2.5k on a different brand mattress (not going to name it here because I'm not pushing another brand, but people need to know what Tempur-Pedic is), and I have been getting the best sleep of my life. I am SO thankful I found it, but I am just now to the point where I feel like a normal person that's able to sleep. I felt the need to write a review for anyone else that may be experiencing back issues and is thinking of getting a Tempur-Pedic. I would save your money and look elsewhere. There are many other brands that help with hip/back pain. This one does not.

We have a medium firm Temperpedic. It's very comfortable and I cannot even tell when my wife moves or gets out of bed. For all I know, she has a boyfriend down the block. I sleep very soundly on this thing. I hope not because we paid about 3 grand for this new mattress and I don't want to lose it in a divorce.

I have had this 5k mattress for two years now and have never had a good night sleep on it. I wake up in with bad back pain within an hour and get maybe 4 hours of sleep a. night. this is the worst mattress i have ever slept on. I would never recommend temper pedic to anyone. I wish i could get a full refund because i hate this mattress so much i want to cry when i wake up. My wife refuses to sleep on the bed so she sleeps on the couch now. thanks temper pedic for ruining my bedtime with my wife! our marriage has suffered because of this matress. We cant afford to get a new mattress because we are still paying this one off.

We purchased a TEMPUR-Pedic LuxeAdapt Firm mattress in April 2025. I must say almost immediately we both started sleeping better. No more tossing and turning. No more body aches in the morning. If one of us gets up there is no movement to wake the other person up. We had a Tempur-pedic years ago and it was great. We brought a different memory foam mattress due to financial reasons. It wasn't bad early on but eventually wasn't comfortable for either of us anymore. The new Tempur-pedic was a night and day difference! We are so glad we went back to a Tempur-pedic mattress. We sleep much better and don't ache in the morning like we used to. Try a Tempur-pedic mattress you'll be glad you did!

Sorry it took me so long to do my review. I was still sleeping.! I have extreme lower back pain. Laminectomy. Surgery helped but my new mattress has made the quality of life much better in addition to the surgery. I picked the correct mattress!!

My Old mattress was only 4 years old but (Sealy) did not imagine that this was the culprit of my vertigo and back aches. when I got my tempur-pedic lx adt 2.0 mattress the very first night I realized the next morning that I had less back pain and less vertigo. however the real test was the second night that I know it was the old mattress because my vertigo and back pain where getting better and it has been only 3 days now and its getting better by each day and getting up less at nights. My husband suffers from lower back pain. He had back surgery 10 years ago and more recently, steroid injections in his lower spine area. He'd been miserable with his 9-year old Tempur-pedic mattress, which bottomed out over time. His new mattress, Luxe Adapt Firm has already allowed him to sleep more comfortably thru the night.
