Should I just buy a headboard or should I buy a bed? That’s up to you! If you have a smaller room, a headboard can be a great solution because it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Beds have lots of pieces and a bigger footprint that might not always work with less square footage. Headboards are also generally more affordable than beds, so if you’re on a budget they might be a better call. 

Do I need a boxspring with a headboard? Yep! With a headboard you’ll need a metal frame, mattress and boxspring. (Need all that? We’ve got it right here, too! Get started with our mattresses.) 

How do the headboard and frame fit together? You can typically just hook the headboard up to the metal frame, but each might be a little different. Be sure to check the instructions before installing. 

Does the mattress thickness matter with headboards? Nope! Our headboards are designed to accommodate different mattress thicknesses whether your headboard fits a twin, full, queen or king.

Do headboards come as part of bedroom set? Not quite like our bedroom sets that include nightstands and dressers, however there are some headboards that include a matching bench. These sets are great because they give that seamless look from the head to the foot of the bed, mimicking a larger upholstered bed (without the cost).
