Twin beds are pretty much a no-brainer for any kid’s room. Why? They’re a great size for children of all ages—from kid to teen years. And, they don’t take up a ton of space, which means adding in the rest of the furniture (bookcase, desk, dresser) is no problem. You’ll love the extra floor space, too, if you’ve got a larger room. We've even got kids beds in our Designer Looks without the designer prices and our Top Deals with everyday low prices and price match guarantee.
Even better? There are lots of different twin bed frames, all with bonus features to choose from. Think bunk beds & loft beds, kids storage beds trundle beds and daybeds…LOTS. Could you use some help deciding on which kid beds to get? We’ve got you covered! All our frequently asked questions and the answers are below!
What are the differences between all those twin size beds listed above? Our bunk beds feature two twin beds on top of each other with a lower bunk and a top bunk. A twin loft bed pretty similar, it just doesn’t have the bed underneath, leaving the perfect space for a desk or play area. Twin storage beds have lots of built-in drawers with ball-bearing glides for safe and easy opening and closing (store those toys, clothes and more for a tidy bedroom you’ll love!). Twin study or bookcase beds have bookcase shelving right in the headboards with USB ports to charge electronics. Trundle beds feature a hidden pull-out twin bed underneath a twin bed, perfect for sleepovers. And finally, daybeds have a twin bed that’s a great sitting area for daytime, but a cozy bed once night hits.
Is a twin bed the best option? What about kids full beds? Again, we love a twin bed for kids because they’re very universal. Kids can sleep in them, teens can sleep in them, even full-grown adults can typically fit just fine. However, if you’ve got the space, a full size bed works perfectly, too.
Do you offer bedroom sets for twin beds? We sure do. Most of our packages come with the bed, a nightstand and a dresser. We even have twin mattresses, too! Check out our kids storage & study options for additional pieces to add to your set.
How about a boxspring—do I need one? You only need a boxspring with traditional twin beds. You do not need one if you go with a daybed, trundle bed, bunk bed or storage bed.
Are there different finishes and fabrics to pick from? Yes! Some are wood, some are metal, some feature cozy upholstery—there’s something for everyone.
