Pretty Dining Room Set but Darker than Expected

This is the first actual dining room I've ever had so I wanted a beautiful set. This furniture is quite pretty but much darker than it looked in the showroom. Beware the lighting is VERY different at home and the showroom. There is also an odor when you open the doors/drawers that is rather strong. It may be a new wood smell but it's not very pleasant.
