We love how the leather is so soft, but it is strong enough to withstand puppy toenails. The recline is very smooth and has many lumbar selections. The chair is also very wide, and great for napping. The foot rest is long, as we are tall. Other recliners leave our calves drooping off the edge. It is also wide enough for a last minute guests to sleep in if we have a house full our our adult sons' friends over last minute, and we've run out of beds, lol!
