This tete-a-tete bed is very similar to one offered by another store with a specialty teen line- except way way more expensive. When we went to the showroom, my daughters gravitated towards this bed and wouldn't consider any other. We went with the dark grey, which has blue undertones because we were concerned with hiding dirt that their sticky fingers attract. Shipping was delayed by 2 weeks but it all worked out in the end. The beds are great quality and we can see our girls growing into their teens with them. We got an 8" mattress for it and an additional bunker board so it sits perfectly.
I purchased this bed in mid February of 2018 and was told after purchasing that I wouldn't receive the bed until May. Irritated but having my daughter picked it out we were willing to wait. Then the store I purchased it from had closed down. My order was transferred to a different store located over 200 miles from my home. After questioning there practice of putting all responsibility on the customer to now drive the extra 400 miles total to pick up a bed they purchased 3 months earlier they agreed to give me a "free" delivery. I then was informed it would not be May but rather early June. Early June came and I was told late June. Late June is here and I am now informed I will not be receiving this bed until late July. Essentially I will have waited over 145 days to receive the merchandise I had payed for in February. Over 20 weeks , near 6 months , pretty much half a year of waiting to recieve a bed that is bought and paid for. When I question the reasoning I am treated as if I am the problem and I should just wait or cancel. I do not know if this is common business practice for this company, but I suspect it is after reaserching the comments from other poorly treated customers. That is what inspired me to warn other potential customers of the lack of compassion value city has for its customer base.

We got this product in March of 2018 on that will take until 06/13/2018 for pick up. They are the only place in my area that sells this bed. This is what my daughter wanted as a end of school year present for making a B+ average the whole year. Also that is her Birthday. I call and was told that my order was ready for pickup. I go to get the bed on 06/13/2018 and they tell me they only have half of bed. They other half will be in on 7/31/2018. The options: 1.)Get floor model No Discount. 2.)Do a full Refund.( Will not work because I have already purchased the Bunkie Board for a Full size bed that will cost more to return then keep.) 3.) $100 off, a free Bed Frame to use while I wait, and free delivery (BUT if I want delivery it will be until August 16,2018 because the store in Charlotte, NC University is pick up only.) 4.) Wait until 07/31/2018 because the other half could come in sooner. Meaning next week or it could come later meaning August 31,2018. The Manager said she was going to honest with me and then simply stated she had no idea when the other half would come in. I took the floor model and they gave her a free memory foam pillow. But here's the kicker there was this other customer They 6 chairs for there table BUT NO Table. Don't know that outcome. I'm not happy with my outcome, my child is happy. Value city got over on this one. But they lost a customer who bought things twice a year. And I will tell everyone about this interaction.
