Comments about Bailey Roll Arm Sofa 79 Milford II Red w/ Milford II Red Pillow
I received my sofa two weeks ago. It's beautiful...for a decoration piece. It is by far the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever purchased new. Especially for laying on to watch TV. I thought that the arms being low and the back pillows being removable, giving more room for laying down would be a good thing. And it is. But it is not comfortable AT ALL.If I could return it I would, but it was special order due to the fabric color. As far as the fabric goes, it is probably very durable because it's kind of scratchy. However, I knew that when I selected it, but that is not what makes it uncomfortable. The one in the store had been on the floor for a couple of years (or so they said) and it was comfortable so I am hoping that over time this one will be too. Although I didn't lay down on it in the store.
loved the couch when it first arrived. it's compact size fit our space perfectly. cleans easily, altho we haven't spilled anything on it. the back pillows pull out of shape easily so i'm constantly rearranging the fill and reversing them. the cushions are FULL of pulled threads, just about anything will pull a thread from rivets on jeans to rings. within just a few weeks, i started to notice pilling on the fabric and it's gone from bad to worse. we've had the sofa for just over 6 months but it looks several years old.
We purchased a Bailey Roll Arm sofa and couch set about a year ago (toast color). We use the furniture in our living room which has relatively light use. While the couch is comfortable and has kept its shape, the fabric looks terrible. When we received it, we noticed that the fabric, which should be a smooth linen, became fuzzy very quickly. After only one year, it looks worn out. I've had great luck with value city furniture in the past but this couch looks terrible. We had planned to keep the set for 8-10 years but will probably have to replace next year.
