    Comments about Kroehler Jasmine Sofa:

I bought this couch in October 2015. A few months later, my cushions went absolutely flat. You could feel the front frame dig into the back of your thighs. Value City came out to inspect and told me that, yes, this is to be expected. The tech told me that the cushions are inferior and recommended I purchase my own, new, foam inserts from an upholstery company.

Value City did replace the cushions, which are now flat again, not but a few months later. Now, too, the frame creaks and pops. The fabric on the arms is rippled. The arms give way at the slightest and pop like a cardboard cereal box.

Value City came out for a third time and told me that they couldn't hear the sounds we did. Then, five minutes later, the sounds he couldn't hear were normal sounds to hear from the couch. He loved my couch and said it was very comfortable. He's the only person in months to step into my home, sit on this couch, and feel comfortable.

I absolutely do not recommend this couch. Horrible construction, and as their own technician even said: inferior product.

        Comments about Kroehler Jasmine Sofa:

I bought this sofa in November and by December Value city had to send someone out to "repair" it, which was tying the springs in with some twine. Like the commenters below, three springs came loose and tore through the bottom of the sofa. A month after having it repaired, they had to replace it because it broke again (exact same issue, it broke when nobody was even sitting on it). I have had the second sofa for just over a month, and it is now broken (Again, same issue.). I've talked to corporate customer service, the store, the online representatives. The store manager said I can have store credit "as a courtesy", but they said I will have to buy a new 5 year warranty to cover whatever I pick out.

At this point I just want a refund in full, but it doesn't sound like they are willing to make that happen. When you buy a warranty, you buy it under the reasonable assumption that the life span of the product is longer than that of a piece of fruit. Base on what I was told by the repair person and the comments below, these are not isolated incidents. Value City needs to make this right.

            Comments about Kroehler Jasmine Sofa:

Same experience as the comments below. Within a month of buying the couch the springs popped out and tore through the bottom. A service tech came out and "fixed it" with twine. Within a month it happened again, this time they sent a replacement couch, and a month later it is broken! Multiple springs ripping through the bottom. They are offering me store credit as a "courtesy", but refuse to reimburse me for the 5 year warranty I purchased. I will have to buy another warranty on the replacement.

              Comments about Kroehler Jasmine Sofa:

I really liked this sofa at the store and the first few weeks in my apartment. It looks sharp in the living space of a modern apartment. The problem is I had the exact same experience as another reviewer - the metal springs pop through the bottom vinyl underneath the couch (after less than a month). Not just one or two coils, but 4 or 5 resulting in the couch sagging. Value City sent a technician out who popped the springs back in and added another vinyl layer, however 2 weeks later the exact same thing happened. VC sent a technician out again who said he's hearing more of this problem and would take the couch in. What a waste of time and effort. First and last experience with Value City

                Comments about Kroehler Jasmine Sofa:

I loved this couch so much that we bought two. They are gorgeous. Unfortunately, they are poorly made. About 2 months after we bought them, something inside one couch snapped while my husband was just sitting on it. We heard a loud pop and thump. Upon inspection, something inside the couch broke and metal was poking out of the bottom of the couch and something else broke in the back of the couch and it thumped the wall really hard. We went to the store that we purchased these from and the manager seemed to be aware of the issue and immediately replaced our defective couch. We were very happy with this until last night when I was sitting on the other couch and it broke in the same manner. We've now had the couches 6 months and the structure of both broke under extremely light use (we don't spend much time on them at all and only one person sitting on them at a time). This is absolutely unacceptable to have 2 broken couches in 6 months.
