Comments about Townsend TV Stand:

Paid for the delivery for this along with a sofa which should have included the assembly. The sofa
was defective so had to be replaced, and this unit also came with scratches. After they left realized that the unit doesnt have holes for the wires and have to be done manually. This should have been done by the delivery folks who were supposed to assemble the unit.

    Comments about Townsend TV Stand:

I'm not a fan of cheap furniture. It just not worth it. But this is not a cheaply made unit. It's a well built, low cost tv stand. Yes it's made with particle board, but it's a thick board with a good grade veneer. The veneer is textured which is a nice. The assembly instructions have no words just pictures so it can be a bit confusing. Be aware of which way the finished edges are facing when assembling. And use the glue on the wooden dowel pins.
(The glue was supplied but no mention of it was made in the instructions.) Looks great and worked out perfectly for my 60" TV.

    Not pleased with quality

    By luvstotravel

    Comments about Townsend TV Stand:

I've put furniture together before but gave up on this one due to the cam screws - they didn't seem long enough. I had to pull it apart 3 times and finally gave up. Each time I took it apart another piece of the "paneling" would chip off.

        Comments about Townsend TV Stand:

I bought this for my living room because I wanted something very simple and this seemed to meet my needs. I really do love it. There is plenty of space for my media devices, and I've also put some decorative items on the top two shelves.

I like the finish on the stand; it's dark brown and it looks very nice. The quality is very good and durable, even though it's made from particle board, and it doesn't feel or look cheap.

It was easy to put together, with the exception of the cutouts on the back panel. It was very difficult to punch out the holes, so I ended up using a 1-inch spade drill bit to make the holes for the cables. It worked out very well for me (even though it made a mess).

Overall I am very happy with this TV stand.
