This is a great buy! I was nervous when I bought this considering the reviews that have been left on it, but I wanted something that looked great and was affordable (I bought the 6 piece set). I have had it for about 6 weeks now and have not had one problem with it. I had it delivered and everything was moved in and set-up exactly where I wanted it in about 20 minutes. The bed has three (3) wooden slats with legs in the center that are level with the floor and nothing on the bed has cracked or even started to tear up. The dresser drawers move just fine unlike the other reviews say. I think it is a great buy for people who are wanting to buy furniture for moving out on their own. The people who deliver and assemble even ask you before they leave if everything is alright and if anything is wrong with it before they leave.

I initially loved my bedroom set; however, a month after purchasing it, the wood on the front of the chest started separating from the top. A service person came out and fixed it. A few months later, the slat under the bed broke, we had it replaced. Today the side rail just split in two and of course it is now past the warranty period. This bed only lasted 1 year almost to the date. The bedroom set that this one replaced, we had for 12 years and it is still being used by someone else. I expected that we'd have this bed longer than a year before we'd have to replace it.

Comments about Bally Espresso Queen Bed:

The bed lasted for 1 year. Just like the other reviews the side wood rail broke in half. There is no support. The pegs that hold the slacks up tend to bend and split down the middle from the nails that hold them together to the slacks. Do not waste your money.

We've had this bed for a little over two years, and it just broke for the second time. The first time was within a year of having it, and they came out and replaced the broken side rail. It just broke again in the exact same spot. If you get this bed, get a metal frame to actually hold the mattress, negate the bed itself is garbage.

Comments about Bally Espresso Queen Bed:

I am a female, less than 200 pounds. As other reviewers have said, this bed is poorly designed. I had the bed delivered and assembled, so I can't speak on assembly. The side pieces, which support the weight of the mattress, box spring, and person or people on the bed, are made of particle board. Mine lasted 19 months, and then one of the broke in half. I wish I had known this would happen, but I didn't read the reviews till afterwards. I probably still would have bought the bed, removed the slats and put a metal frame inside.

Also, the center legs that attach to the slats must have been attached with silly putty. They bent to the side whenever the bed was moved, which didn't help the side pieces any. Also, the veneer is easily scratched. I have two cats, and the footboard is all scratched up from them jumping up on the bed. So that's also something to consider.

I had second thoughts when this bed was delivered to my home. We purchased this piece for our granddaughter bedroom. I wasn't sure if the wooden slacks were strong enough. So far so good. you get what you pay for.

Comments about Bally Espresso Queen Bed:

The bed looks great. It's clean and simple. However, the assembly was one of the most difficult I've ever tried. The person in the factory who was responsible for pre-drilling and placing the holes for the side-rails was off just enough to prevent the bolts from going in straight. It took some serious manipulation and muscle to make it work. I would've returned the bed, but I had already had to ask for a replacement headboard because the first one was broken in shipping. Something that should've been very simple was way to difficult to assemble.

The bed broke 16 months after we bought it. Of course 4 months past the warranty date. Calling the local store, after dealing with a rude salesperson was informed they don't offer replacement parts. So buy your furniture somewhere else.

The bed would be nice if there were metal railings to hold the mattress instead of wooden planks and plastic placeholders. Isn't sturdy at all. Save your money.

Comments about Bally Espresso Queen Bed:

This bed is BY FAR, the WORST ITEM Value City has. I've bought numerous of other items from living room furniture, kitchen sets etc from value City & haven't had any problems. Value City is a great company and I thought the bed was a great buy because I bought the whole 7 piece set. But I just don't understand HOW or WHY this bed is still being sold with these wood railings that EVERYONE is complaining about?? (insert side eye emoji) I have had both of my side railings break on me twice. I'm a 165 pound woman. If it cant hold me, then this bed is made for an 8th grade cheerleader.
